From day 2 to 5 but full results at 2 weeks. If any adjustment is needed at that stage you can contact Dr Rachael for further injections. This is a FREE consultation.
The effects of the anti-wrinkle injections can normally be seen for 3-4 months.
Most clients describe it at the most as mild discomfort. Rachael uses the smallest needles on the market to minimise any discomfort. She also uses multiple needles per client, this minimises the pain by ensuring the needle is not blunt.
Every client is different due to individual anatomy and muscle activity. Generally, 4-6 for each area of the forehead and frown. Eyes generally 3-4 per eye.
You do not need to do anything before treatment and as Anti Wrinkle Injections have no recovery time, there is little aftercare required. After care will be discussed at the consultation and you will be given an aftercare card.
As the treatment involves injections there can be minor redness or swelling around the injection site (which vanishes within 1-2hrs), minor bruising on occasions, headaches in some clients which are usually mild. In very rare cases, when injecting the forehead clients can experience a temporary drop of the eyelid, however this is minimised by careful placements of injections.
Results are immediate with dermal fillers
The majority of dermal fillers such as Juvederm Ultra and Teosyal last 6 to 9 months. Dr Rachael also uses Juvederm Vycross range which lasts 12 to 18 months.
Topical anaesthetic (numbing) cream is applied to the skin before the injections are given. The dermal fillers also contain some local anaesthetic to minimise pain/discomfort.
Dermal fillers replace lost volume in the lower half of the face. Botox predominately treats lines in the upper half of the face by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause an area of skin to wrinkle.
These include: redness, minor swelling, itching, tenderness around injection site and potential lumps in the treated area. Dr Rachael minimises this by massage of lumps during the treatment and after care advice. If you are prone to cold sores, there is a small chance that one will occur following a lip enhancement. In very rare instances (1 in 15,000) blood supply from the smallest vessels can be disrupted. This can be treated by breaking down the filler. A thorough consultation and after care will be discussed beforehand.
